During Design Week, some of the creative collectives of the Umeå region open their doors to the public. Take the chance to experience their inspiring work environments, admire unique works and participate in exciting happenings.
Here are the collectives that stay open:
RÖBÄCK GLASS AND CLAY
Date: 29-31 May and 1 June
Location: Cultural dairy in Röbäck
Visit the open workshops for ceramics and glassblowing and take part in a shop filled with designed items. Don't miss the opening on 1 June with textile artist Isa Öhman.

THE TRADE YARD
Date: 27 May - 1 June
Location: Sagagallerian, Umeå
Handelsgården opens a new exhibition space with the premiere of the artist Sofia Ytell aka Fia Print. Come and see her fantastic works in Sagagallerian.

Discover Limmo Design's open shop and participate in knitting happenings. There's something for everyone who loves needlework and design.

Students from the course Design & Clothing B at Umeå University show their individual collections. The opening will also feature live music by Andreas Brännström.

CITIZEN SCHOOL
Date: 30 May
Location: Slöjdgatan 2
Exhibition by course leaders Tilda Edstedt and Ida Persson in ceramics, with works fired in a wood-fired kiln with salt glaze. Open studio and study circle in ceramics going on simultaneously. Painting exhibition by participants in Painting with breadth. Possible watercolour painting in the park with course leader Erik Andersson. Coffee, tea, chocolate and snacks will be served.
CREATIVE COLLECTIVE

Kreativ Kollektiv invites you to a summer salon with open studios. The members are Sandra Åström, artist, Sanna Jonsson, pattern designer and illustrator, Mary Höglund, artist, Sanna Riihimäki, artist, Signe Rydlöv, writer and psychologist, Eva Jones Ward, visual artist, Jennie Idjeli Sjöström, artist and illustrator, Hanna Karlzon, illustrator, Mira Kurkiala, artist, Jenny Berggren, visual artist, and Karin Björk, entrepreneur.
