Cultural and creative industries company of the year awarded

Random Bastards/Storspoven wins Cultural and Creative Industries Company of the Year award. The historic first prize was awarded during the Umea Gala on 16 June. Other finalists were UnderbaraClara and Turborilla.

We are immensely grateful for the support we have received over the years and proud to do the best we can together for our dear Umeå. A place filled to the brim with competence, courage and curiosity. To all friends, customers and tokers, thank you, says Samuel Isaksson, CEO, Storspoven AB.

Winning Motivation:

"This year's winners have shown that it's possible to shake up an entire industry through innovative and disruptive business models without sacrificing creative integrity.

At its heart are unwavering values that uphold equality, equity and a true West of Scotland do-it-together spirit.

With breathtakingly high output, this artist collective has evolved into a unique social force that has already written itself into the history books as some of the foremost storytellers and influencers of our time. This makes them true ambassadors for Umeå and the cultural and creative industries."
