The next round of the eXpressions pre-incubator express programme is now underway. It involves 15 participants with a total of 13 ideas who will receive coaching, methods and tools during the autumn. The aim is to explore the possibility of taking their idea to a sustainable business.
As usual, a bouquet of business ideas will be put under the microscope for nine weeks. It's always inspiring to meet new and old entrepreneurs in this format. We help each other, share experiences and twist and turn the business ideas. The exchange between the participants is usually very much appreciated," says Emil Hägglund, programme manager for express.
The Express Programme is a preparatory programme for taking the next step in the business development process. The main criterion is that you have a new business idea in the cultural and creative industries. The programme starts with nine workshops where participants receive tools and coaching to test their ideas against a target market.
Customer and user focus is always central to our business development processes. It's business that drives a company forward and if you can't meet a real need and find your place in a market, the idea will never fly. We put quite a lot of effort into trying to understand the customer and what needs are actually out there. Hopefully we can find new approaches that will further increase the level of innovation," explains Emil Hägglund.
In addition to customer and market analysis, the workshops cover branding and communication, business models, sales and intellectual property. The idea is to provide a broad approach to business development and prepare participants to apply to the Creatives incubator programme.
