Designers selected in Design Talents for Formex

Designers selected in Design Talents for Formex

From 17 to 20 January, Formex in Stockholm will open its doors - the largest meeting place for interior design in the Nordic countries. From Umeå, four selected designers will travel down to participate in Design Talents and at the same time exhibit their products during the fair. Design Talents is part of Formex and a platform for new designers to showcase their products and make new contacts with buyers and producers. Those accepted have the chance to take home the Best in Show award.

It will be great fun to showcase our products that we have developed together with local producers up here in Västerbotten. It's an honour to be one of the incredible products developed and produced during our time at eXpression," says Jonas Eltes who designed a wine opener called ø19. It feels good that we come to the fair with products that have a consistent sustainability perspective and reusability in mind.

It feels great and, above all, very exciting. It's a great opportunity to reach out to the media and hopefully new retailers," says Martina Karlsson who runs the company MARK

The four creatives accepted for Design Talents:

Emelie Aktanius, ELAK A small architectural office, www.elakab.com
Jonas Eltes, ø19, https://jonaselt.es
Linnea Lundmark, @bara_blomhallare

    About Design Talents

Design Talents is part of Formex and a great platform for new talent. Each year Formex receives a number of exciting applications, from which 25 designers are selected to showcase and sell their innovative design solutions and products to buyers, partners, producers and the media.

The jury selects a winner for the Best In Show award - a design prize for the designer who stands out from the crowd. In the selection process, Formex design experts look at the products based on their novelty in idea and form. The winner is presented to the press on the Formex stage, and the prize includes a stand space worth SEK 15,000 for the next fair and editorial content on formex.se and in social media.
