Today the application for Svensk Forms Design S 2023 opens. You are welcome to apply for Sweden's premier and broadest design award - which this year celebrates 40 years! Design S awarded in the Väven cultural centre on 31 May 2023 in Umeå.

Design S is an event where Balticgruppen and Design by Umeå - a network of which eXpression is a part - are the main partners.

Over the years, the award has highlighted actors who, through design in a broad sense, have challenged prevailing approaches to match contemporary needs and demands.

This year's call consists of twelve categories, including architecture, graphic design, furniture, and service design.

The competition serves many purposes: as a concrete starting point for discussions on design and innovation, and as an inspiration for industry and public policy makers to use design for increased sustainability, competitiveness and welfare.
