eXpression Umeå recruits design specialist

The business incubator eXpression Umeå strengthens its expertise in design methodology, product development and service design by recruiting Fanny Lindén as a new business coach. Fanny is an alumnus of Umeå School of Design and has several years of experience in agency work and to run your own business in areas such as consulting, product development and design education.

We see a need to strengthen our skills in the field of design and in particular those related to product and prototype development. Fanny's broad experience and expertise will enrich the entrepreneurs in our programme and help us to further sharpen what we offer," says Barbro Renkel, CEO of eXpression Umeå.

Fanny Lindén is an industrial designer from Umeå School of Design and has recently been running her own consultancy business and developing lifestyle products - which are sold through retailers. Slow living, nature-oriented and thoughtful is something that often recurs in what Fanny does - whether it's designing products or creating new processes through user-driven service development.

It feels really inspiring, fun and developing to be part of such a competent team. I hope to be able to contribute with functional thinking, among other things through the experience I have from product and service development, and inspire more innovative solutions," says Fanny Lindén.

Fanny will mainly work on early-stage business ideas and innovations and support programme participants in the prototype lab. This includes the eXpress start-up programme, the Summer eXpression intensive programme and the Design Lab, a new programme that aims to raise awareness of sustainable design principles and how we can use the power of our cultural heritage for new concepts, products or services.
