On the evening of 30 September, the products developed by participants in the Summer eXpression business development programme in collaboration with local manufacturers and Designtorget will be launched. The products will be on sale online and in one of the Design Square shops for a month.
- We are proud to have the opportunity to showcase talented designers with ties to northern Sweden through our collaboration with Designtorget. Eight young designers have worked hard to turn their ideas into a finished product during the summer," says Barbro Renkel, CEO of eXpression Umeå, which is also responsible for the Summer eXpression programme.
At 17:00 on Thursday evening, 30 September, Designtorget will hold a vernissage where the products will be on display. The event is the start of a month-long sale via their online shop and Designtorget's shop at the Kulturhuset in Stockholm - where the launch will also take place. eXpression Umeå's CEO Barbro Renkel will participate during the evening along with the designers and representatives from Designtorget.
- We aim to make a difference for Swedish design and to be a lever for young designers by being an active and committed part of the development of design in Sweden. That's why the collaboration with eXpression Umeå feels like a natural fit for us. Now we are looking forward to the autumn launch of the students' products," said Malin Wåhlström, Head of Purchasing Designtorget, in an earlier press release.
